The 2026 historic motorsport season has officially kicked off for Tuthill! We were out in Barcelona last week for the first Peter Auto event of the calendar at Espíritu de Montjuïc. Running two cars in the 2.0L cup series, and our first appearance in the Endurance Racing Legends class with a 996 GT3 RSR.

It was a bumpy start to the weekend for the 996, with it sustaining some damage after coming off at Turn 10 during qualifying. The team were on the back foot, but after a massive effort, the car was repaired and back on track for the final race of the weekend. Lots of learning for the team & drivers on this car, with some solid track time for Gentleman driver, Giancarlo Romano.

Over to the 2.0L Cup, 2025 Gents champ, David Danglard, looking to pick up where he left off last season, drove consistently across all of the sessions. During the race Danglard fought his way to the front of the field, holding the lead until a full course yellow unfortunately saw him drop to P3, claiming a podium place on the first race of the season. Giancarlo Romano had a busy weekend between his 2.0L and ERL entry, aiming to get some solid track time in at a new circuit for the Scottish driver. A tricky race for Romano, suffering from a broken rocker arm, but the team were able to get him back out to bring the car home.

Next up, Spa!
